FAQ
Do you work for the plaintiff or defense?
We are capable of and have done both. Our opinions are based on medical facts, and do
not change according to who we represent.
Do you have samples of your work?
Yes we do. These are available upon request. To protect client privacy and confidentiality,
all identifying information has been removed from these documents.
Are you able to perform a large volume of work?
Yes. Our data base of experts can be increased to meet your needs. Please contact
us for further discussion.
Do you perform reviews for individuals?
Yes. We will evaluate the medical records and let you know if we believe it has significant merit.
However, we are not attorneys and do not engage in the practice of law. We can not and do not give
anyone legal advice.
Do you provide or ever need experts?
Yes. We will refer appropriate experts as needed. (Please see the Fees page
for further information.) Likewise, if you are interested in submitting your qualifications and
fee list for potential future reference, feel free to contact us.
Do you guarantee your experts?
No. However, if you are not satisfied with any referral, another expert may be provided or your
money will be refunded. There are several search engines available to law firms such as West Law
and Lexi/Nexis, allowing access to the legal background information of any candidate. Our company
presently does not have access to these extensive background checks and suggest this be completed
before hiring a medical expert.
Why use a legal nurse consultant instead of a paralegal?
A LNC possesses knowledge, clinical experience and specific insight related to the various standards
of medical care. As a result, we can be a beneficial addition to your existing team of legal professionals.
Why use a legal nurse consultant instead of a physician?
At Medical Review & Research Associates, Inc., with access to both physicians and registered
nurses, we are content to abide by your preferences. However, a LNC is able to perform similar tasks
at a significantly reduced rate and may also assist physician experts by organizing documents related to
the case. Here at Medical Review & Research Associates, Inc., our legal nurses may also consult with
our in-house physician as needed, thus reducing costs to our clients. |
